Do You Want Flawless, Glowing Skin?

Posted by on

I do, I do! For years I tried slapping as many products on my skin as I could that made promises about getting me that glowing complexion I always wanted, but sometimes it’s not just about what products youre using or how you’re taking care of your skin from the outside alone. Our skin is a protective barrier against the external environment, but both internal and external factors affect the health and beauty of it. Because it’s easy to forget that lifestyle is such an important factor in the health of our skin, let’s talk about a few things you can do in your daily life that will help your skin stay beautiful.

A balanced diet is KEY to healthy, beautiful skin

Though ‘diet’ means something different to everyone, and not everyone’s balanced diet looks the same, it’s important to remember the truth in the saying, “We are what we eat” and focus on eating foods that are healthy and nourishing.

Water intake

Water is crucial to ALL living things, and we are no exception. Water helps transport nutrients through the body and flush out toxins, so when we don’t remember to drink enough water our skin becomes dehydrated and sallow.

F.Y.I there are tons of cute apps you can download on your phone that will remind you to drink water!

SLEEP, SLEEP, SLEEP

Did I say that enough? Getting enough sleep is a HUGE part of maintaining happy and healthy skin! Have you ever noticed when you spend most of the night up studying or partying how your face looks in the morning? Lifeless and dull. This is because, as Breus says, “sleep deprivation causes a decrease in blood flow to the skin surrounding your face.”

A good skin care regimen

Taking care of your skin externally is still just as important as all the stuff we do to take care of it from the inside! Sodon’t forget to keep up on cleansing the skin on the surface with a  good skin care routine that consists of nurturing your skin with the right products, protecting it from the environment, and preventing possible damages to it.

Exercise

Exercise makes us feel good in general, but it is also great for our skin! It reduces stress and boosts blood circulation and metabolism, which directly benefits the health of your skin.

Stress management

Life is full of stressors and acquiring the skills to manage them is important and needed to live a happy, healthy, balanced life. It isn’t easy, but with the right support and plan, it is absolutely possible! Relax and take time for yourself; not only do you deserve it, it will also help you maintain that glowing complexion.
